Workshop: Information Security in Microsoft Office Applications

On 8 and 15 May 2013 the workshop “Information Security in Microsoft Office Applications” was organised at Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology, University Politehnica of Bucharest. The workshop was organized by RAISA – Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance and it was organised within the research project “Studies on Implementing Safety Masures in order to Ensure Information Security”.

The purpose of this workshop was to secure information in Microsoft Office applications on multiple levels of security. The event was divided into three sections: the first two on 8 May 2013 and the third section on 15 May 2013.

The workshop was managed by Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance by the following representatives:

  • Assistant Professor Ioan-Cosmin MIHAI, PhD – workshop manager;
  • Dipl.-Ing. Gabriel PETRICĂ – workshop assistent.

During workshop students made ​​presentations in Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications and secure the information within these files on multiple levels of security.
