Governance and Strategic Aspects of International Police Cooperation

CEPOL – European Police College organized the third module of The European Joint Master Programme (EJMP) – “Governance and Strategic Aspects of International Police Cooperation” at Aranjuez, Spain, on April 18-22, 2016. I attended this EJMP module as representative of “A.I. Cuza” Police Academy.

CEPOL-EJMP3

The European Joint Master Programme provides science based competences in a European community of practice. It is the first EU academic programme which aims to address common challenges of police cooperation in the frame of internal security. The European Joint Master Programme is organised and implemented by a Consortium consisting of Partners appointed by CEPOL National Contact Points and Law Enforcement / Public Universities entitled to deliver a Master course according to the Bologna rules in the EU Member States.

CEPOL-EJMP3

The general focus of this module concerns the strategic aspects of policy-making and decision-making in the EU Area of Freedom, Security and Justice. In this module, the specific rules concerning agenda-setting, negotiation, and voting procedures in the area of police cooperation were discussed from a multi-actor perspective, spanning the interests of Member States and Justice and Home Affairs bodies in relation to the internal actors of the EU as well as external actors.
