Challenges and Opportunities in Cyberspace Workshop

The workshop “Challenges and Opportunities in Cyberspace” was organized with the occasion of the Romanian Police Day at “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” Police Academy, on March 23rd, 2017. The workshop was organized by The Department of Behavioral Science from Police Faculty at CYBEREX – The Romanian Centre of Excellence in Cybercrime. I attended this event as organizer.

This workshop was attended by experts and professors from United States Embassy, General Secretariat of the Romanian Government, Romanian National Computer Security Incident Response Team, Ministry of National Defense, General Inspectorate of Romanian Police and “Carol I” National Defense University.

In the context of the events from the field of cyberspace, this workshop aimed the developing of an academic framework appropriate for exchanging ideas, expressing opinions and communicating the latest research results in the field of cybersecurity and cybercrime, in order to establish strategies for information and infrastructures protection and to identify concrete, effective and pro-active measures to combat cybercrime.
